您好 (hi),
I'm Jeff. I'm a strategist and filmmaker with a nomadic backstory.
I graduated in 2020 from Columbia and now work at Fathom+Hatch, where we design strategies for companies like Apple and Warner/HBO based on extensive ethnographic research.
I've written a sci-fi novel and directed films that caught the attention of President Obama.
I believe that the best stories make you act, and the best strategies arise from human and cultural truths.
Growing up, my family moved once every three years.
Other than an insane accent, the experience of expiration dates, of always being the new kid, shaped me in fundamental ways.
Thanks to moving, I’m not afraid of proving myself, and I know that it’s persistence, not genius, that makes the difference.
But more importantly, moving gave me a sense of wonder. It is the kindness of strangers, the warmth at the fringes, and the inspiration of differences that make me who I am today.
I don't quite know how it all adds up yet, but the working thesis is this:
I want to bring together human-centric innovation and storytelling in a global framework to help us envision more collective futures.
