Start-Ups & Venturing
coursework at Columbia Business School
While at Columbia, I applied and was admitted into a special program that allowed select undergrads to take MBA courses.
This class taught by Professors Jenny Fielding (Managing Director, Techstars and Geraldine Wu (Stern/Yale), focused on how to found and run a start-up. We simulated the founding + pitching process through 4 course cycles, using existing Series A startups in NYC as base. We worked directly with those startups to make our simulated exercises useful.
The following we pitched to a panel of VCs from Techstars, Y-Combinator, and Morgan Stanley.
